MePreCiSa presents its technology at the Smart City

During this week’s Smart City Expo, the project’s principal investigator, Miguel Ponce de León, presented the project’s key objectives. The conference, “MePreCiSa: A New Approach to the Study of Urban Health,” was held in the Agora at the Catalan government’s stand. Visitors from both policymakers and companies were able to learn about some of the project’s key aspects.
In this sense, the presentation was presented from different perspectives, such as collaboration with industry and the private sector. The collaborative work with the Nommon organization was one of the key points of the presentation. Javier Burrieza, the company’s business development engineer, detailed the management of the indicators used to conduct the integrated analysis during the session.
Furthermore, towards the end of the presentation, the impact of the tool developed by MePreCiSa was also analyzed from the perspective of decision-making and public health management. The Deputy Director General of Public Health Emergency Surveillance and Response of the Generalitat, Jacobo Mendioroz, also discussed how this decision-making process works. Mendioroz emphasized the importance of using this type of technology to make more effective and precise decisions and improve the direction of public health policies.
