Towards the digitalization of health

Discover the benefits of MePreCiSa

We provide the tools to promote urban well-being and sustainability, identifying risks and sources of exposure on which to apply measures.

We offer an open platform to integrate data and train predictive models that facilitate decision-making by health authorities.

We incorporate new data sources along with new technologies to improve the management of public health systems through our integrated cloud analysis platform.

The challenge of urban health focus

Management of large populations on the move

From MePreCiSa, we try to respond to an emerging challenge in health management in cities. Healthcare systems increasingly require tools that allows them to process and analyse data streams to make large-scale decisions. The combination of the high population density in cities, together with their constant movement, creates complex patterns of exposure and spread of diseases whose management in many cases exceeds the capabilities of current systems.

A platform tested with real data

Explore our use cases

Air quality

We combine population mobility data with exposure to different levels of air quality and the incidence of different diseases. This allows us to identify exposure sources that guide preventive measures.

Epidemic spread

We expand the well-known incidence studies by community or municipality, incorporating population mobility data. These simulations allow us to identify and predict sources of infection in health emergencies, as well as identify containment measures.

Sewage water

Wastewater epidemiology studies the presence and concentration of various biomarkers, such as viruses or bacteria, and represents a tool for public health surveillance. Integration of mobility data is crucial to understand the dynamics of quantified biomarkers in wastewater.

MePreCiSa: build on successes during the COVID-19 pandemic

Our last COVID-19 Flow-Maps project has been a cornerstone for the creation of MePreCiSa. COVID-19 Flow-Maps was used to analyse the exposure and spread patterns of the SARC-CoV-2 virus, considering population movements between communities. During the pandemic, it offered reliable forecasts for decision-making to various authorities.

At MePreCiSa we not only expand the capabilities of COVID-19 Flow-Maps into new application areas, but we unify the analysis by offering the first forecasting platform that integrates mobility data, environmental factors, exposure and incidence of diseases together with tools of simulation and analysis.
